As a former management consultant, I worked endless hours helping make other businesses better. When I was in my early 30's, I started to ask "is this it?". Is this all that I am supposed to accomplish and achieve? I heard a quote that struck me... "don't fear failure, fear regret". I imagined myself in 30 years, lying on my deathbed, wondering if I could have done more. If I could have achieved more. If I could have helped and contributed more. Fitness changed my life and I knew that an innovative fitness model, inside a welcoming environment, would help people fall in love with exercising and that a special type of fitness community would be a place where people would thrive in. I had a strong desire to build a business that served a greater purpose and in 2020, I left my career and founded Sweat Bar Fitness. That simple quote still drives me to be a better person today.
I eventually reached the point where I was sick of making excuses. I was sick of being mediocre and not living a life that I was capable of living. I started into fitness and soon after signed up for a Spartan Sprint race. To train, I started running a few miles at a time, and I struggled. It was incredibly hard. But that's what I wanted and what needed. I. needed something that would challenge me and I needed to stop making excuses. I, frankly, needed to toughen up and start showing up better. With that attitude, I went from struggling to run 2 miles to running a 50-mile ultra just a few years later. I went from falling asleep in corporate meetings to launching my own business and I went from being a person who quit most sports in high school to becoming an Ironman. With the right mindset and a no-excuses philosophy, there is very little we can't do or achieve.
I love coaching people who are looking for their fire. People who know that they have more to learn, more to give, and more to achieve. People who are willing to show up and get to work. I am a firm believer that with any goal, there is a discipline and a framework to be followed in order to accomplish that goal. I love working with people who are ready for the plan and will do whatever it takes to hit their goals.
